Is Toilet Paper Causing Itchiness Down There?

Many people feel discomfort after using toilet paper down there. And this is because you are not getting as clean as you are from your toilet paper. Excess poo is the reason for almost all itchy butts. And if it did not end there, suddenly discovering your vagina is puffed, painful, or swollen is never a great deal of discomfort.
Some of the causes are due to infection, injury, improper hygiene, or even intense sex. Many doctors agree that toilet paper can also cause some of the problems. Toilet paper can inflame your vagina, most especially if you have sensitive skin, noting that toilet paper can cause all kinds of infections if you don't use it properly.

Here are some of the reasons why toilet paper is most likely to cause and what to do when they start to itch?

Allergic Reaction
Anyone can be allergic to certain chemicals, like fragrance, used in your toilet paper. It can cause a case of Vulvitis, a condition that often shows up as itching, burning, redness, or swelling. If you notice these symptoms after using a new TP (especially if it's scented), switch brands.

Scratch or Minor Cuts
Now you need to remember when you are roughly wiping or with a harsh toilet paper can create little cuts on your vagina. The tissue in that area is sensitive and delicate. That's why experts also recommend that you gently dab instead of rubbing whenever you can.

Swelling
Many toilet papers have fragrances, dyes, and other chemicals that can irritate your skin and cause you to puff up or notice swelling. Excessive wiping can also cause you to puff up.

Yeast Infections
It is a common reason to avoid scented toilet paper. The properties used to create the fragrance can disrupt the normal pH of your vagina and lead to a yeast infection. If you think your toilet paper might be the cause of recurrent infections, switch to a hypoallergenic brand.

UTIs
Women are more often to get this is because a woman's urethra (the pee hole part) is shorter than those of a man, and bacteria don't have to travel far to get into your bladder. When you wipe from back to front, you can push fecal particles, contributing to a UTI, forward, and into your urethra where they can travel up to your bladder and cause an infection. That's why most doctors recommend wiping from front to back, which keeps that bacteria in the back, not reaching the front part.

Vagina Wet Wipes
It is one great alternative to toilet paper. The raw material for wet wipes is spunlace nonwoven fabric, a cloth-like fiber, more suitable for delicate skin. Many have soothing plant extracts, for example, Aloe Vera or Witch Hazel, and claim to be ideal for sensitive skin and dermatologically tested.  Disinfectant wipes also kill most bacteria.
