What is The Secret of Raw Materials in Wet Wipes?

People may never be aware of spunlace nonwoven, but they use a lot of products like wet wipes. This blog, we will show a full detail about our spunlace nonwoven fabric.

Spunlace Definition: What Is Spunlace Nonwoven Fabric?

Spunlace (also called hydroentanglement) is a bonding process for dry or wet fibrous webs made by carding, air lapping, or wet deposition, the resulting bonded fabric is a nonwoven.

It uses fine, high-pressure jets of water that penetrate the belt, strike the conveyor belt (or "yarn" as in the papermaking conveyor), and bounce, causing the fibers to become entangled.

Fibers:

Polyester fiber

Spunlace nonwoven fabric uses short-staple fibers. The most popular are viscose (38mm * 1.67 dtex) and polyester (38mm * 1.56 dtex) staple fibers.

Sometimes polypropylene (PP) is also used in the production of spunlace.

Some other raw materials, such as cotton, tencel, chitin, etc. These fibers are more natural and come from plants or animals, which is more expensive.

That's all you want to know about spunlace.

Spunlace technology:

A productive spunlace line is made up of several machine parts, such as a mixing machine, carding machine, water jets, etc. The investment of a spunlace machine is great.

China local spunlace nonwoven machines are mainly from Fengxian District, Shanghai, etc

. The famous may be "ANDRITZ" in Europe.

Based on technical reasons, the imported machine is better than the Chinese machine, both in yield and quality of the fabric.

Nowadays, most bulk nonwoven fabric manufacturers are from USA, Europe, China, and Turkey, Vietnam, India, and Indonesia also own the threading machines in previous years. But China is expected to be the most complete type and export the largest amount every year.

Nonwoven now has 2 imported machines and 1 local machine, satisfied by customers' requirements.

The Feature Of Spunlace Nonwoven

Flexible tangle does not affect the original characteristics of the fiber, does not damage the fiber.

The appearance is closer to traditional textiles than to other nonwovens.

High strength, low softness.

High moisture absorption, rapid moisture absorption.

Good ventilation

Soft, good shape

Various plans

No adhesive backing, washable

Also, to produce the spunlace fabric it is a big investment, as mentioned earlier the lines are very long and cover a large area.

Spunlace Process

Spunlace nonwoven fabric is an important type of nonwoven fabric (see what is nonwoven). The Spunlace process is a nonwoven manufacturing system that uses water jets to entangle the fibers and thus ensure the integrity of the fabric.

In fact, with the current development of nonwoven spunlace technology, we have a new spunlaced technology, one of the most important of which is wood pulp spunlace fabric.

Wood pulp spunlace fabric is now popular and can replace some normal spunlace fabric, this fabric has 2 types:

Woodpulp Polyester Non-woven and Woodpulp POLYPROPYLENE Non-woven

This wood pulp fleece is cheaper and also a good material for windshield wipers.

Non Woven Spunlace Type

Based on the different lapping machine, spunlace has 2 types: Parallel Overlap Spunlace Fabric and Crossover Spunlace Fabric. What is the difference between Parallel Lap Spunlace Fabric and Cross Lap Spunlace Fabric? The main difference is in the resistance of their fabrics. Take for example a spunlace fabric of 40 g/ m ² 100% polyester.

Application Of Non Woven Spunlace

First of all, spunlace nonwoven is mainly used for wipes: such as home wipes, personal, beauty, industrial, medical wipes, etc

. Too many wet and dry wipes are made of spunlace fabric.

Second, medical use is another important market for spun lace fabrics: such as disposable surgical garments, surgical blankets, surgical tablecloths, surgical aprons, etc

. And also application equipment for wounds: bandages, gauze, dressing, etc

. Third, the cloth fabric can make clothes, for example, lining, baby clothes, training clothes, carnival night disposable color service, all kinds of protective clothing, etc

. At least it is also decorative fabrics such as car interiors, home interiors, stage sets, etc

How To Check The Quality Of Spunlace Fabric?

Some customers have told us that they received poor or inferior quality spunlace fleece. Then how do you check that you received the good quality spunlace fabric? It is easy to conduct lab testing or third party spending money. But here we show you the way to very easily test what you are doing yourself.

The most important thing for the spunlace fabric is its composition, as viscose fibers are generally more expensive than polyester fibers. The viscose gives the spunlace better absorbency and superior wiping quality.

The faster the polyester burns, the more difficult it will be to exterminate. After the burn, black induration will occur. But 100% viscose after engraving is only gray, no induration. So burn faster and more induration, the fabric contains more polyester.

We are the professional spunlace nonwoven manufacturer, we produce various spunlace fabrics to meet customers' needs. Please contact us for your spunlace offers.
