Super Easy Ways to Safely Disinfect Your Vehicle of CORONAVIRUS

One of the most used and exposed to CORONAVIRUS is our vehicles. We can use some safe cleaners that are probably available at our house, that are known to be a safe disinfectant.   Cleaning on your car using a disinfecting or truthfully any other cleaner would protect us and our families from the virus this year 2020.

First, before you start disinfecting you can try to vacuum up all the loose debris just to ensure that once we use our disinfectant wipes were getting as much of that dirt contacting with the surface and ensuring that we clean the best we possibly can.

Second, we can start cleaning hard surfaces. Mostly touched areas include leather material seats using spunlace nonwoven disinfecting wet wipes, wipe it in every little spot that you can get into so not just over the buttons, and keep moving but work it in there. One other thing that you can use your disinfectant wipes is your key fob which, you all the time have in your hands, sometimes you share them with another person.  Make sure to keep it clean always.

Third, wipe behind the applicator with dry cloth or microfiber to avoid what white spots left, or essentially what we call a water spot. In some professional automobile cleaning shop, they use disposable shop towels to prevent transferring one contaminant from one car to another.
Next are your cloth fabric seats, cloth inserts inside door panels, and carpet.

The wet wipes would work, but for these sections, a disinfectant spray product is the better option. Spray on that cloth seats, cloth inserts, and carpet after spraying, you can let it sit but do not drench it.  You can dwell or leave it to dry.  But if you see any spray marks or dry spots, follow up with a wipe.

Car Cleaning Do’s and Don’ts
• Do not use bleaching cleaners. Stay away from bleach-based products to avoid color bleaching, blushing, or pulling colors and any other surface damage. Stick with multi-surface wet wipes cleaners.

Disinfectants are totally fine, just do not let it dry in the surface, if it needs to dwell spray it let it sit, and then once dwell time is up, spray again so you can wipe it away easily.

• Do check your manufacturer's suggestions on touch screen care.  For a newer vehicle with navigators and touch screen technology.  When in doubt, stick to warm water and a towel.

• Do not use alcohol-based cleaners on touch screens. Be careful, even if it is a high touch area.  Warm water is suggested.  You do not want to have problems with anti-glare coating, use extra caution.

Isopropyl alcohol with 60% or above content can help disinfect your car without scratching any surface, this is because spunlace has a cotton cloth like feature, it is safe to wipe your dashboard, leather seats, and any surface inside your most precious car.  It is not made of traditional woven fabric, but instead, it is a nonwoven fabric, or entangled fiber using polyester, viscose, cotton, and other fiber materials.
